This is my favorite Tamayo book--and I have several. It was printed in 1982 and the color quality of its 266 reproductions is quite good, plus is has Octavio Paz' fabulous essay on Tamayo, and also photos and life story of the painter himself. I prefer this Rizzoli publication over a different one from 2007 which is much costlier and doesn't have as many reproductions, although they are shinier and perhaps, at times, more true to the original--this is impossible to say without standing in front of the paintings themselves. As I compare the same image in my books, often there is no difference at all.
